Beach Resort Tour / (Bantayan Island, Cebu Philippines)

Pea visits Bantayan Island, a popular tourist destination about an hour by ferry from mainland Cebu, and gives a full walkthrough tour of the Coral Blue Beach Resort. She covers the island's attractions, the resort's restaurant and bar, and does detailed room-by-room tours of three accommodation tiers — complete with prices that she clearly finds absurdly cheap for what you get.

Bantayan Island overview ​

• Located about one hour by ferry from mainland Cebu
• Known for clear waters, powdery white sand, and a laid-back atmosphere

Coral Blue Beach Resort — general features ​

• Sits right on the beach with a direct ocean view and sightline to mainland Cebu
• Built with all Filipino materials: bamboo construction and cogon grass roof thatching (Pea uses the Visayan term and admits she doesn't know the English equivalent)
• Spacious open-air seating area with a pool table for guests
• Has a bar that doubles as the reception area, staffed by an attendant named Norv

Restaurant and drink prices ​

• Pea orders a piña colada and a Blue Lagoon ("I feel like being Penny from Big Bang Theory")
• Menu includes pork, snacks, chicken, pasta, noodles, vegetables, seafood, soup, crab, and lobster
• Lunch or dinner costs under $5 USD with large serving sizes

Room tour: Ocean View Villa ($65/night) ​

• Has an outdoor faucet to wash sand off your feet before entering
• Private balcony with a table, lounge chair, and hammock overlooking the ocean — Pea says the sunset view must be magnificent
• Large interior — Pea says "our house in the province is much smaller than this"
• Bed decorated with towel swans shaped into a heart ("good for honeymooners")
• Electric fan for air circulation, plus AC
• Bathroom features: deep handcrafted bamboo closets (all varnished), stone walls, towel racks, plenty of storage
• Separate dedicated toilet area — Pea jokes about a friend's theory that if you're with the right person, you can use the bathroom while they're standing right there
• Filipino-style paintings depicting island life and fishing scenes, plus a Buddha-like statue
• Wrap-around glass windows so you can see the ocean when you wake up
• Junior Suite version is slightly smaller at $59/night

Room tour: Luxury Penthouse Villa ($155/night) ​

• Located up a tall staircase — Pea jokes she regrets the drinks and calls it "the stairway to heaven"
• Enormous space — Pea says maximum occupancy is listed as 4 people but she could personally fit 30 Filipinas; calls it bigger than three of her houses combined
• Two lounge chairs, a hammock, and a private terrace with panoramic ocean views
• First bedroom: king-sized bed (though "king-sized for Asians because it's still quite short"), towel swans, AC, its own full bathroom
• Bathrooms have the same stone walls, deep closets, and rainfall shower heads as the lower-tier rooms
• Common living room area between the two bedrooms with a TV, plenty of space ("I can even do a tumbling over here"), laundry basket, electric fan
• Second bedroom: same king-sized bed, AC, and full bathroom
• Electrical outlets for razors, toothbrushes, and hair dryers
• View from the bedroom is partially blocked by coconut trees — Pea jokes she could jump from the room to the coconut tree without climbing
• Price: 7,500 pesos/night (~$155 USD) for 4-person occupancy with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, and ocean view — Pea calls it "a steal" and tells snowbound viewers to remember this place when borders reopen
